John Mayer - Waiting on the World to Change
Madonna - This Used to be My Playground
i remember reading a thread when my exit was starting, about inspirational songs.
someone posted a link to the "shins" for a fool.
this was a surprising help to me.

ok so we might be moving to fl.
wife wants to get away to start over.
i also want to move but at the right time and to the right place.
I'm in FL! PM me :)
i have recently been given the privilege of taking the field service group.. .
can anyone give me some scriptures i can use to encourage the group?
can you also give a reason as to why these scriptures are helpful to our ministry.. .
Welcome, FL Panthers,
If you're still reading, I'm in Florida, too and joined the site one year ago. We've had quite a situation in my former hall, involving a jw elder pedofile who molested 7 boys. He was just sentenced to life. I mention this as you mentioned someone else who sounds like they abused a child. Googling "jehovah's witnesses child abuse" a little over a year ago is what eventually led me here. Does the lack of a policy to protect jw children from pedofiles bother you, too?
As to your opening question, no scriptures come to mind. I seem to have filled that area of my mind with learning about cognitive dissonance, logical fallacies, information about science and art history.
Keep reading. There's a lot to learn from this site.
Bttt
the may 2014 km, posted in another thread is a link to download it.
page 2, for week starting may 19th under the service meeting:.
discussion.
We had groups vacation pioneer since I was a teen. I was always encouraged to pioneer during school breaks. The young ones were definitely out in service more on breaks. In my last hall, a group of 10-12 would make quite the slides how up from their recent pioneer vacation. The gulf in our hall was rather big regarding finances. Looking back, there were quite a few who probably weren't uplifted by the clique that traveled well and boasted about their work for Jehovah.
I'm totally using DD's idea when I take a little staycation the end of this month :)
is anyone here following what is happening with the trial in south africa.
what are your thoughts?
how are the media handling this?
I have been following it On BBC coverage. Seems to come across as he let his temper get the best of him.
Nice to see you on here, loubelle.
well my wife asked me loint blank..."do you wanna be a witness anymore?
" and i told her no.. .
we then went into 1914 and shunning and 1975 and she said sheswondered many times about it.. anyways she said "so what do we do now?
Awesome! How exciting! Besty has a good thread on he and his wife getting out. I'm so happy for you! Start planning the rest of your life.
Carpe Diem
i remember my dear old dad (r.i.p) saying that when he had questions he waited on jehovah(tm) and got the answer later.. for the life of me i can't recall this ever happening to me......... honestly, can anyone actually recall a question that the wbt$ jehovah(tm) cleared up for you?.
That phrase has bothered me for awhile, even before learning TTATT. Used in regards to child molestation, spousal abuse, rape, it's just so absurd and impractical. It holds people back from getting needed therapy, marriage counseling, further education etc. It fosters a mindset that encourages thought stopping techniques. Grrr.
So glad my daughter and I are out and not "waiting on Jehovah", or anything else to pursue the rest if our lives :)
hello everyone it's nice to finally be able to post i had trouble getting emails last month and was never able to sign up.
this has been a very informative site which has really helped me grow and to think for myself.
please allow me to introduce myself.. i was born into a witness family and was baptized at a young age an was part of a small kingdom hall.
Welcome, keep reading, questioning and learning. Hope your wife is open to thinking, too.
Carpe Diem!
7 years ago i started on a path i had long ago given up on as impossible.
i met with my elders and told them i could not justify carrying on as a jw.
i went and got my high school qualifications and my higher education diploma (a levels with distinction) in just 12 months.
Congratulations!!!
